We are actively hiring Engineers – Systems Engineering, Development & Sustainment to join our Data and Systems Integration Division, working in Northern Virginia to provide Systems Engineering, Development & Sustainment to Sponsor programs.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tasks shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Collect, validate, and analyze customer requirements; develop and maintain traceability between user and component-level system requirements.
  • Interface with users to gather and disseminate field and technical user feedback. Participate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in program and organizational engineering review boards and other technical forums to foster cooperation across programs within the Agency, DoD, and the IC, and facilitate effective integration of technical solutions.
  • Provide technical breadth on embedded processing, wireless and mobile communications across all Sponsor-enabled mission areas; including knowledge of current and emerging commercial markets, devices at the user edge of the network, and fixed infrastructure of the mobile network.
  • Provide frequency spectrum management support to monitor and conduct analysis of Federal Communications Commission (FCC), International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA} activity regarding frequency assignments, allocation, auction, and commercial co-use on Agency operations.
  • Develop design concepts that are consistent with Agency architectural guidance and industry best practices to address new user/system requirements, changes in the technical environment, or performance enhancements.
  • Assist with the design and installation of technical environments in customer-approved settings for the test and evaluation of platform components, to include appropriate documentation.
  • Provide support to integrated sensor field demonstrations, as requested.
  • Prepare and manage integration activities associated with infrastructure including hardware at all various facilities, networks, and service providers, R&D and recapitalization activities, space planning, and installation coordination.
  • Assist with all integration issues, project activities and milestones.
  • Coordinate with other program offices, including developers, engineers, testers, configuration management and other system integrators as necessary.
  • Provide project cost estimates and schedule projections associated with changing requirements to the Sponsor leadership. This includes the monitoring of schedules, tasks, scope and status of requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise to monthly reviews and TEMs and provide recommendations on future course of action.
  • Provide programmatic support in areas such as device deployment, no new issuance or device end-of-life coordination.
  • Resolve data pipeline issues to ensure data provider and Agency collection policies and standards are achieved.
  • Facilitate the generation of accountability and visibility tools to status pedigree, lineage, and provenance of data to meet Executive, Agency, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support data triage and data quality activities based upon detailed and continuing understanding of Agency data requirements and priorities coupled with a detailed and continuing understanding of project capabilities and workload.
  • Maintain sufficient knowledge of Agency data collections to provide the Data Engineer Manager with data acquisition strategies based upon current project load, current data inventory, and IC priorities.
  • Participate in and provide recommendations at Data Quality, Data Acquisition, and User Working Group Meetings relative to Information Security, Network and ISSM approval, and Insider Threats.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Familiarity with Sponsor technical communication systems.
  • Hardware, Software, Systems, or Network Engineering experience.
  • Levels:
    • Bachelors degree with 4 years of Intelligence Community support, or 8 years with no degree.
    • Bachelors degree with 8 years of Intelligence Community support, or 12 years with no degree.
    • Bachelors degree with 12 years of intelligence community experience, or 16 years with no degree
  • TS/SCI with polygraph
