We are actively hiring a Security Specialist with TS clearance to join our Security team working in Reston, VA. You will be responsible for administering and implementing collateral level security programs and sensitive compartmented information programs for ATS programs.

As our Security Specialist:
You are well versed in administering routine aspects of the Intelligence and other personnel security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. You thrive in a fast-paced environment with a bias for action. You build high-trust partnerships with management and other security team members, while being energetic, detail oriented, analytical, self-starting, and flexible.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follow the NISPOM, ICD, and other government regulations, to administer routine aspects of the Intelligence and other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
  • Your duties include support to both collateral level security programs and sensitive compartmented information programs.  
  • Primary duties include completion of SF86, SCI customer nomination packages, completing DD-254 packages, preparation and approval of visit access requests (VARs), SCAR & SCIF Room Support and system support, clearance checks, use of DISS, NCAISS, NISS, and coordination with customer security representatives to process security clearance requirements.
  • Conduct access control management and facility badge coordination. Protect classified government information, monitor security procedures, ensuring compliance with all aspects of the program including personnel, physical and administrative security systems and procedures.
  • Conduct customer and corporate security briefings. Investigate losses and security violations and recommend corrective actions.  Update company security documents. 
  • Have the ability and flexibility to move from one task to another and to be available for a variety of tasks as the need arises.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Must possess an active TS clearance; polygraph strongly preferred.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent plus Security-related experience.
  • 5+ years or greater personnel security experience
  • Experience with DISS, NISS, eApp, eQIP, and SIMS is strongly preferred.
  • Experience-producing, handling, storing, transmitting, and transporting classified materials, up to and including Top Secret and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Knowledge and experience developing security plans and developing detailed OPSEC procedures.
  • Must have experience with personnel security, document and visitor control. 
  • Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally with all levels of staff and outside personnel.
  • Must have experience in the U.S. Government, Intelligence, or contractor community in security management.
  • Excellent attention to detail is a must.
  • Excellent written and oral communications and teamwork skills.
  • Self-starter able to take initiative within a fast paced, agile environment.
  • Must be flexible and adapt to the ever-changing world of security
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Well organized and confident to work independently but be a strong team player.
  • Ability to effectively manage ambiguity and multi-task on a variety of initiatives.

DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • FSO Certification or obtain within 6 months.
  • Must be self-motivated and results oriented.
